Alumni Shindig
The Alumni Shindig was beautiful, deliciously catered, and chock-full of entertainment. The evening, in support of The Student Opportunity Fund, drew a crowd of alumni going back to the class of 1949! The student Jazz Band was phenomenal and provided the perfect Music of The Night. The Forensic Team's performance had the crowd in stitches and longing for more. Then there was Blue Moon Fish Co. with a delicious array of passed horse' d oeuvres, carving stations, dessert table, and open bar to round out the event. Sister John offered the challenge in getting more alumni involved and engaged. The extent of involvement can range from mentoring a student through the Career Ambassador Program to being a Class Representative to help keep updated contact information for classmates. Alumni involvement is a vital part of the STA machine and we need you to keep the tradition of alumni support alive. Give the Alumni Office a call or complete one of the forms for the various programs and service on the site. We look forward to hearing from you.
Guest Speakers
We are currently booking our alumni workshop guest speakers for school year 2012-2013. If you are an alum and have information and/or skills to share with the alumni community, please contact our offices to get you scheduled. Our workshops will be held once a month and range in topics from Venture Capital to Organic Gardening. Currently we are scheduling workshops for the 3rd Tuesday of each month on campus. A full calendar will be placed on the web-site for alumni to choose from and register to attend various workshops in a myriad of topics. It's always fun to teach someone something new and to learn something new.

New Auxiliary Gym
On Thursday, February 23, St. Thomas Aquinas administration, coaches, staff, alumni, and current families together celebrated the ground-breaking of our new auxiliary gym. As our current student body grows so do the scheduling demands and requirements of athletics, groups, and club. The new gym will provide relief to the current scheduling difficulties currently endured by the multitude of student activities. The campus is full of life, and like some current students say, "St. Thomas never sleeps".
A Raider Sets Sail to 2012 Olympics
Sarah Lihan, a graduate of the class of 2006 is joined the Team Go Sail 2012 and will be competing in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Way to go Sarah, we are so proud of you!

Coach George Smith has been inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame 2012.
